Newer Homes, Tighter Air
Not long ago, Leander was a small town at the end of the road. Today it's one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, with new neighborhoods spreading out along 183 and toward the Hill Country, and the MetroRail line ending right in town. That means a big share of Leander homes are less than 15 years old.
Newer homes are built tight on purpose. Better windows, sealed walls and spray foam in some attics keep the cool air in during a long Texas summer. The tradeoff is that less fresh air comes in on its own. Whatever gets into the house tends to stay there and cycle through the HVAC over and over:

What Our Dry Fog Treatment Does
The whole-home dry fog treatment reaches the places a new-home cleaning can't. We use the patented Pure Maintenance VaPURE dry fog system in two steps:
- The dry fog. A very fine fog of a hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid solution moves through every room, closet and the ductwork. It helps reduce the bio-load and neutralize odors on hard surfaces, then breaks down into water, oxygen and vinegar.
- The surface protectant. An surface protectant is applied the same way, as a dry fog.
The droplets are small enough to float and settle without leaving things wet. We use gentle positive pressure to push the fog into every space. The dry fog treatment is done in one day. Learn more on our dry fog treatment page.

Our house is brand new. Does it really need a treatment?
Not every home does. But new homes often hold on to building smells and construction dust, and a tight house doesn't air itself out much. If your home smells "new" months after move-in, or the dust keeps coming back, a whole-home treatment can help.
We have a big dog and two cats. Will the treatment help with pet smells?
It helps reduce odors in the air, on surfaces and in the ducts, where pet smells like to hide. Pair it with washing pet beds and changing the HVAC filter on schedule for the best results.
Can I just open the windows to air out my house?
On a mild day, sure. But for much of the year, Leander is either hot and humid or full of cedar or oak pollen, so open windows can bring in as much as they let out.
