Why Indoor Air Matters in Austin
Austin homes come in every shape and age. Close to the center of town you'll find bungalows and cottages from the early and middle 1900s, many added onto more than once. Farther out are ranch homes from the 1960s through the 1980s. And in the last 20 years the city has added thousands of new condos, apartments and downtown towers, plus whole new neighborhoods like Mueller on the site of the old airport.

Each type of home holds on to air in its own way:
- Older central homes often have older ductwork, attics with decades of dust, and additions tied into one HVAC system. Some sit on pier-and-beam foundations, which lets outside air and moisture move under the floor.
- Condos and tower units are compact and sealed. Cooking, showers and pets all share a small amount of air, and you may not control the building's fresh air supply.
- Newer single-family homes are built tight to save energy. That is great for your power bill, but it also means less fresh air comes in to dilute what builds up inside.
Then there's the weather. Austin's cooling season runs most of the year, so windows stay shut for months. Humid Gulf air keeps indoor moisture up, and cedar season in winter and oak pollen in spring bring waves of allergens inside on shoes, clothes and pets. What the Whole-Home Dry Fog Treatment Does
Pure Maintenance Austin uses the patented VaPURE dry fog system. It works in two steps:
- A very fine dry fog of a hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid solution fills the home, reaching every room, closet and surface, plus the ductwork. It helps reduce the bio-load and neutralize odors on hard surfaces, then breaks down into water, oxygen and vinegar.
- An surface protectant is applied the same way and leaves a thin, invisible layer on treated surfaces.

What a Free Phone Consultation Looks Like
A team member calls you and talks through what's going on in your home. We'll ask about the rooms that bother you most, the smells, dust or stuffiness you've noticed, and your HVAC system and filter. For a condo, we'll also talk about what the building controls and what you control.
After the call, a Comfort Advisor sends you a written quote based on square footage. There's no pressure, and if the treatment isn't the right fit, we'll say so.

Can you treat a condo or a unit in a downtown tower?
Yes. Condos and apartments are some of the easiest homes to treat because they are compact. We'll work with you on building rules, like elevator use and parking for our equipment, before treatment day.
My house is almost 100 years old. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Older homes are often where people notice the biggest difference in how the air feels. The treatment reaches corners, closets and older ductwork that normal cleaning can't. It does not repair anything, though. We don't perform or collect lab testing. If you'd like your air tested, or you've had a leak or visible growth, start with an independent state-licensed professional.
Should I do anything about my AC first?
It depends on what we hear from you. If your system needs a new filter, coil cleaning, duct work or a dehumidifier, our sister company Gold Eagle Services handles HVAC across Austin and can help before or after your treatment.
Is this safe for my pets?
People and pets leave the home during treatment and come back when the team says it's ready, the same day. Indoor air quality matters for comfort and well-being. If anyone in your home has health concerns, talk with your doctor.
